Kevin Mulqueen

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM with 39 years of experience offering help to clients through New York Life. I help people plan whether they are starting out or planning for the transition to the next generation. I help people with life insurance, disability, long term care, annuities, and every sort of investment. I work through Eagle Strategies LLC, which is a Registered Investment Advisory firm associated with New York Life. I stay current with planning techniques and help people plan for their future.

I received the Chartered Life Underwriter Designation in 1985 and the Chartered Financial Consultant designation in 1988 from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. I received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation in 1987 from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.

I am a Life and Qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table. I am a Lifetime Council member at New York Life.

I love playing golf. I am married to Debi Mulqueen who works at the Department of Motor Vehicles. We have two children, Kevin Behrent and Melissa Stroud who is married to Tony Stroud. They have three children, Keira, Kiley and TJ.

My community service has revolved around local government. I have been a Village Trustee and Deputy Mayor in the Village of Walden. I served on that board for 10 years, and while I was there, I was Chairman of the Walden Industrial Development Agency and President of the Walden Housing Development Corporation. I served for six years on the Valley Central School Board with two years as Board President. I also served for eight years as a member of the Town of Wallkill Town Council.

Matthew Herz

My name is Matthew Herz and I am an agent with New York Life Insurance Company. I help people to defer income taxes, preserve their assets and protect their families. My ultimate goal is to help families find a way that they can protect themselves and their love ones in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

I began my career as a Teacher of Non – Competition Physical Education working in NJ at the elementary school level 7 years. I received my masters in educational administration and supervision and then worked as a school principal for the next 19 years. My focus was on students with disabilities and ways to integrate and create programs for them to be successful. Trained in conflict resolution and mediation, I work with students to diffuse disciplinary issues and bullying. Students learned to work through issues and by doing this, found a common ground of understanding through conversation and reflection.

  • My Daughter Emma is 17 and My Son Jeremy is 26. Both of them are artists. Jeremy has high functioning Asperger’s Syndrome (part of the Autism Spectrum) and because of this, I have dedicated myself to helping others find ways to get services for their children in schools and out.

  • Interviewer – Help new teachers and administrators to learn the skills of interviewing for positions they have applied for with districts. I give them the self confidence to believe in themselves.

Diana Trocano

Service Supervisor

My name is Diana Trocano and I joined Kevin Mulqueen as his Administrative Assistant in 2014. I assist Kevin with client support and am generally the first person to interact with clients when they call the office. My job duties include but are not limited to: answering phones, scheduling appointments, maintaining files, photocopying, faxing, scanning, taking memos, handling emails and mail correspondence, and assisting clients with paperwork. It is my pleasure to be able to support his clients whenever service needs arise.

I have an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. I was also a Registered Cardiac Sonographer and Registered Medical Assistant for some time. My work experience has been widespread and I have operated in many different fields where I acquired a unique skill set. I believe its my desire to provide superior customer service, my attention to detail, and my ability to stay organized and on task that have made this the right job for me!

I am blessed with a beautiful family that I love. I enjoy listening to music, playing with my daughter, and throwing the frisbee with my dog.

  • Every year I present an award at Montgomery Elementary School. It was originally a VFW award but due to extenuating circumstances it became “The Donald Trocano Young Patriot's Award 10 years ago. It is a great honor for me to present this award in my father’s name.
  • I volunteer with meals on wheels and have served food in soup kitchens.
  • I have also donated/volunteered at animal shelters.
